Smartt Nutrition’s Cancer Battle Plan: 5 Tips to Save Your Life
The doctors sent him home to die, so we turned to alternative medicine. Utilizing the healing power of fruits and vegetables, Dave’s life was extended for eight more optimal years. Instead of my youngest daughter losing her dad at age one, she had him until age nine.
I’m Rachel Smartt, Naturopathic Doctor. I present free seminars, transitional recipes, and health consultations. Check the online schedule or call 770-487-0851 for my next workshop or for an appointment.
Cancer Battle Plan: If you’ve been diagnosed or NEVER want to be.
1. Get educated. Cancer is a disease of a weakened immune system. Avoid manmade foods, which weaken immune response. Certain foods are known cancer feeders and immune suppressants.
2. Cut off enemy supply lines. Starve the cancer. Kill the bad guys, and take out the trash. Avoid refined sugar/carbohydrates: white flour, bread or rice; pasta, baked goods. Avoid preservatives, additives, MSG, aspartame, artificial sweeteners and coloring. They are toxins. Avoid packaged, canned, boxed and fast foods. Avoid hydrogenated oils. Hydrogenated oil (trans fat) is liquid vegetable oil loaded with hydrogen to make it more solid, protecting it from rancidity. Trans fat is in processed food, to increase shelf life. Avoid most animal products and saturated fat.
3. Rebuild natural defense with the healing power of whole food. Try to eat at least ½ of diet raw, ideally, 80% raw, 20% other. Thousands of plant chemicals and nutrients from fruits and veggies increase fighter T- cells that gobble up cancer and foreign invaders, boost the immune system, and detoxify the body. Cook food as little as possible to enhance healing power and nutritional edge. Add good fats to your diet like ground flax seed, fish oil, and walnuts.
4. Stay hydrated. Drink 8-10 glasses of pure water every day (or ½ body weight in ounces.) Eliminate sodas, sugar drinks, and caffeine, which build ph acidity, favoring cancer growth.
5. Maintain hope, optimism, and a fighting spirit. Set goals. Practice forgiveness and gratitude. Find humor. Increase spirituality.
Magic Bonus Tip: To speed results, add whole-food based Juice Plus+ to your nutritional foundation. It’s difficult to get 9 to 13 daily servings of fresh vegetables and fruit. Nothing takes the place of eating right, but Juice Plus+ can help bridge the nutritional gap. If people would learn to eat properly, they could live the best years of their lives twice over.
Chronic Respiratory, Betty R.
83 years old, I’ve had Wegener’s Granulomatosis since 1992. It’s incurable. For eight years, I was extremely ill and undergoing treatment, until the disease went inactive, which is like remission.
My immune system left me with frequent bronchitis and pneumonia. I had little resistance to any contagious respiratory ailments.
Four years ago I began Juice Plus+. I dropped all medications except for the occasional chronic bronchitis and pneumonia antibiotic. My health improved steadily and has continued to improve. I only had bronchitis once, and my immune system is greatly improved.
I am now able to do my garden and flower beds with no adverse respiratory problems and am enjoying continued good health. My life has again been a joy and my outlook promising, thanks to a gracious, loving Heavenly Father and Juice Plus+.
On check-ups with my doctors, they can’t believe I don’t take medications. "Nothing but Juice Plus+" is my report.

Why do we get sick? How do we get well? The answer often lies in what we do to our bodies through the food we consume, and the stress levels we have physically, mentally and emotionally.
Our magnificent bodies were never built with a plan of degeneration. However, with our present diet of processed foods and chemical additives--lifeless and fragmented or partial foods used to fuel our bodies, we have become a society plagued with chronic degenerative disease.
We have come to expect a decrease of energy, vitality and health as we get older. Not so! Other cultures that don't eat the All American diet do not suffer the same conditions. America has become one of the sickest nations on earth.
Although diseased states are considered normal for the aged, it is not so. We tend to mistake common for normal. Disease is not normal and many can be reversed. Our bodies have the ability to heal themselves, if given the correct nutrition and information in these seven areas.
Let fresh, raw produce be your medicine!
